About Us

Ross County Community Action Commission (RCCAC) has been serving the community since 1966. RCCAC is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. RCCAC is the local grantee for the Head Start and Early Head Start Program, Home Energy Assistance Program, and Weatherization programs. RCCAC also operates several other community programs and services related to food, health, housing, and recovery support services.

Over its 54-year history, RCCAC has administered a wide variety of programs and services to income-eligible residents of Ross County, Ohio. RCCAC has an annual budget of almost $6,000,000 which includes funding from federal, state and local governmental sources, as well as contributions from charitable organizations.

The mission of RCCAC is to work within the local community to reduce poverty and revitalize low income families. The agency will help clients by empowering them with the resources that are available to them. RCCAC will also do everything we can to help educate those we serve, be respectful of their needs and help and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment within them. We feel we can make a difference in their lives by advocating for them and providing programs for all children and families in Ross County.
